Purchasing Specialist Job Opening in Indianapolis, Indiana - Job Description
Purchasing Specialists will be charged with making purchases necessary for the Evens Time organization to operate.
The purchasing specialist works to develop and adhere to systems that track both stock and job inventory. The Purchasing Specialist will report to the Administrative Manager.
Purchasing Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
1) Compare prices with various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions
2) Work within a given budget to purchase goods and services
3) Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner and the quality of the goods has been received
4) Complete monthly inventory reporting and determine which items needs replenished
5) Responsible for the management and organization of the warehouse
6) Stage upcoming jobs to ensure all inventory is received
7) Update project SmartSheet with inventory ordered and received for jobs
8) Work with Project Management on any delays in products
9) Entry of new item numbers
10) Pulling various reports monthly to assure the accounting of both items received and open purchase order tracked
11) Update job binder with proper paperwork
Minimum Requirements
Quickbooks experience 3-5 years
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Outlook
Purchasing experience ? minimum 2 years
