Position Description
The Quality Assurance Lead will lead a team of Quality Assurance Analysts in the design and implementation of manual and automated tests on our ProActivity Enterprise Platform. The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for building the Quality Assurance practice, infrastructure, processes, and team, as well as ensuring the performance of the practice. The Quality Assurance Lead will have responsibilities in all phases of the development life cycle and will be the subject matter expert for leading testing techniques. Our Software Development team works with , SQL Server, and JavaScript to deploy functionality based on extensive testing.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate tools, technologies, and processes to create a high functioning Quality Assurance practice
Develop test strategies and create test harnesses focused on new development and regression
Oversee the development and execution of test plans
Monitor and develop reporting methods on test execution
Develop Quality Assurance approaches that align with the Software Development Life Cycle strategy
Identify and support process improvement initiatives for testing methodologies
Design and specify test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation
Work closely with the Software Development team to communicate the impact of testing results
Partner with Product Owners and Software Developers to understand the vision and requirements of the product
Solve business issues by identifying and analyzing detailed requirements to reflect the client?s needs that translate into product improvement and enhancements
Hire, train, and mentor Quality Assurance team members to enhance the team?s skill set
Qualifications
Bachelor?s Degree in a related field, or related experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance within a software environment
2+ years of experience in managing technical teams, including coaching and professional development
Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, practices, and tools
Experience working in an Agile Development and a Test Driven Development environment
Experience with Quality Assurance Automation and scripting
Experience implementing continuous development models
Ability to innovate, simplify processes, and maintain relentlessly high standards
Ability to use data to provide the right quality metrics to measure goals and achievement for the organization
Demonstrates creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
Strong knowledge of technical documentation and technical writing
Strong analytical, multitasking, problem solving, and detail orientation skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
