Bachman's is a local family business which currently consists of 34 retail locations in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud, including 6 Floral, Gift and Garden Centers and 28 Flowers by Bachman?s stores, many of which are within the Lund?s & Byerly?s grocery stores. Bachman's also operates indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, including a garden maintenance department; and two hardscapes centers. In addition, Bachman?s businesses include a nursery wholesale division, as well as a growing range near Lakeville, Minnesota.
As our Accounts Payable Clerk , you will be responsible for:
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Assign vendor number, match invoice, and code with AP account number. Ensure accuracy of vendor terms to PO and sales and use tax is accounted for.
Input invoices in to the Eagle Accounts Payable system. Match and code with GL Account number.
Communicate with vendors by phone, e-mail and letters to reconcile account differences and resolve problems. Reconcile vendor statements in a timely manner.
Process inventory freight and allocate to inventory invoices.
An Associate Degree or higher in Accounting is required along with two years of experience in Accounts Payable. Must have strong math and problem solving aptitude. Must be proficient with a PC, e-mail, spreadsheets and text documents. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently and multi-task.
