Senior Accountant Job Opening in Little Falls, Minnesota - Process all customer payments, post cash receipts to accounts receivable, monitor agings, manage customer collections.
Confirm customer shipments, process daily invoicing, support accounts receivable process, resolve customer billing issues.
Perform customer credit evaluations and work with management to determine the appropriate credit terms based on customer history and credit evaluations
Maintain customer files with appropriate tax documents, credit documents, and contact information
Process all accounts payable invoices and payments, support the accounts payable processes resolving vendor issues.
Maintaining vendor files with appropriate tax documents, contact information, and other documents
Monitor cash activity, perform bank statement reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis.
Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly accounting transactions.
Complete general ledger account analytical analysis to identify and proactively respond to changes in activity.
Determine general journal entries for monthly close process, compiles and enter into general ledger.
Use critical thinking to resolve issues, support or create analysis and reporting as needed.
Lead coordination of annual audit information requests.
Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and operational reporting.
Assist with projections and forecasts as needed.
Perform fixed asset recording, processing and capital spending reporting.
Assist with special projects as needed such as acquisitions and new asset implementation projects.
Assist Accounting/Finance and Human Resources management with tasks as assigned.
Copying, filing, various data entry projects, running company errands, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to interact with all levels, departments, and individuals internally and externally.
Ability to supervise staff level accountants.
