CDL A/B - Route Driver Job Opening in colorado springs, Colorado - CDL A/B - Route Driver Reddy Ice, the nation's largest packaged ice company is now accepting resumes for route delivery drivers. This is considered a seasonal job, but year round work is available for the right candidates. Responsible for the timely, safe, and accurate delivery of packaged ice products to customers. Exposed to wide changes in temperature, going in and out of refrigerated trailer, truck and customer locations. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., as well as move dolly with 500 lbs weight. Work is very labor intensive and involves repetitive bending over and stocking merchandisers with ice at each stop. Normal routes involves over 20 stops per day. Hazards involve working with weights and dollies, and slippery floors. Rigid background checks and drug screens are mandatory pre-employment practices. Candidates are required to have a valid CDL A/B with a good record as well as a current DOT card. Flexible schedule is required as summer routes often involve 8-12 hour days. Must have good communication skills, neat appearance, and be safe and prompt. Summer route opportunities include day/night/weekend and overnight deliveries. Many routes begin between 3-7AM, these positions are not for those who cannot self start.
