Social Media Intern Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - YI Advisors is seeking a part-time or full-time intern to start immediately. The candidate must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast collaborative environment, and has an entrepreneurial attitude. The intern must commit to 3-6 months and the internship pays $12.50/hour. Current or recent college graduates are welcome to apply.
At YI Advisors, our interns are an integral part of the account teams and they often support the client directly to deliver high-quality strategic communications services, including social media engagement, media relations and research. While the role may involve some administrative duties, interns who show a high level competency and initiative can and will become a key player in coordinating and executing client projects. YI Advisors look to hire at the entry-level from this position depending on our project and client needs.
Position Description: As a Social Media Intern, you will be helping build online communities on behalf of our clients
Duties Include:
Responsible for assisting with implementing and monitoring various projects within a specific set of accounts, while working closely with the account team
Gain a basic understanding of client?s communication & policy goal, industry issues, and key stakeholders and target audiences
Assist with the preparation of online marketing materials
Assist in developing and posting content for clients' social channels
Assist in auditing & monitoring social media channels
Work with the account team to identify and recruit online influencers
Draft regular activity & status reports for clients
Qualifications:
Passion for social media and mobile marketing a must; Prior internship experience in similar capacity preferred
A savvy social media user and have passion for emerging platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Live, ect.
Have an interest in public affairs or communications and possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment and a start-up atmosphere
An interest in and aptitude for working with new technologies
A passion for the YI Advisors social impact mission
Experience in student organizing is a plus
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to become a strong writer
