Accounts Payable / AP Clerk Job Opening in Wixom, Michigan - We are a growing off road product manufacturing company with locations in Commerce Township, MI, Wixom, MI and Missoula, MT. This position is located in our Commerce Township distribution center. We work in an energetic, fast paced atmosphere that embraces teamwork and forward thinkers.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable / AP Clerk that enjoys to work in a fast pace environment and embrace ongoing change. This position will be responsible for processing invoices in an efficient, timely and accurate manner, while monitoring accounts payable transactions to ensure that expense items are valid and properly charged. The ideal candidate will have accurate data entry skills, strict attention to detail, strong communication skills and experiences researching and resolving vendor discrepancies. In addition, the candidate must have excellent organization skills and must be able to follow through on pending items and prioritize accordingly. Must be able to work well independently and in a team. 3-5+ years of accounting/accounts payable experience is required with strong Microsoft Office skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Responsibilities :
Code AP items to the proper GL code
Process vendor invoices, follow up on discrepancies
Cut checks
Reconcile vendor statements
Sales and use tax filing
Assist with month end close
Required Skills and Experience:
Must have 5 years of previous A/P experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
High school graduate or equivalent
Sales and use tax experience is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
