Licensed Insurance Agent Job Opening in Lincoln, Nebraska - Duties & Responsibilities:
Acquiring new clients
Building and maintaining ongoing relationships
Conducting sales presentations over the phone
Gather information from clients, assessing their insurance needs and risk profile
Foreseeing clients' insurance needs, such as policy renewals or amending existing policies
Customizing insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
Explaining features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans
Use of advanced selling techniques in a consultative sales environment
Calculating insurance premiums or awards / compute financial data
Arranging specialized types of insurance coverage in complex cases
Completing and following-up on administrative tasks such as managing and processing paperwork, correspondence, keeping detailed records, ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled including the completion of appropriate forms
Following contract, property, or insurance laws
Using computers to enter, access or retrieve data
Advising clients on risk management
Advising clients on claims processing
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree with concentration in a business discipline (Marketing / Finance Accounting) preferred
Minimum of 3 years successful full-time work experience in professional, sales or executive level occupation
Demonstrated experience in understanding the complex financial situations and lifestyles of high net worth customers
Multiline insurance brokerage experience highly desirable
Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency
Experience with software for the purpose of submitting applications and claims processing
Currently possess or have the ability to acquire a Property and Casualty license and Life and Health
Strong communication and customer service skills
Must have positive attitude, professionalism and emotional intelligence (ability to listen and empathize)
Must be ambitious, self-motivated, and have a high energy level
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong desire to participate in building a new company
