Businesss and Web Applications Developer Job Opening in Brookston, Texas - JOB SUMMARY
One of the fastest growing manufacturers in North East Texas is seeking a Business and Web Applications Developer. Some knowledge of programming languages, technologies and business acumen is needed. This new company position will be in charge of developing a set of online dealer tools and hybrid company intranet and eventually re-implementing the main company web site. Responsibilities will include user requirements gathering, analyzing, application programming, testing, database querying, reporting, interface design and implementation of new applications.
PRIMARY DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:
Writes, modifies, debugs, implements and maintains software in a variety of platforms.
All phases of system development and implementation including design, coding, testing, reporting, documentation, training and implementation.
Assists in defining business needs, application scope, objectives, analysis and solution recommendation and application software development and/or implementation.
Assists in gathering data for key business insights.
Performs other duties as requested.
Knowledge:
Technical knowledge including database querying
Knowledge of basic business concepts, practices, and principles
Quality assurance concepts and procedures
3+ Years in web application / dynamic web development
Skills:
SQL, PHP / , Bootstrap, HTML5/ CSS3
Reporting tools: Crystal Reports
Developer tools: Visual Studio, Dreamweaver
Database concepts including tables, data types, instances, fields, connection strings, and records
Relational, hierarchical and object orientated database architectures and structure
Creation of forms and reports
Problem solving skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Documentation systems and knowledge database
iOS and Android a plus
Abilities:
Ability to gather, interpret and document business requirements
Ability to complete technical projects, given detailed specifications
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of others
Ability to effectively estimate project timelines and deliver as estimated
Ability to communicate effectively -orally, by phone, in person, and in writing.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Additional job related experience/and/or education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
