Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Description:
We work in the retail industry to connect consumers directly with brands on retail websites through our chat platform.
As a full-stack software engineer at Welcome, you will build and enhance products that make up our platform. Our software is used by consumers of some of the top retailers and brands every day.
You will have the opportunity to impact everything from user-facing in-browser applications on both desktop and mobile to the backend systems and data stores and everything in between. You will work as a member of an agile team to design, build, test and deploy new products and features.
What we need you to do:
Work in a small, agile team to design, build, deploy and run high-quality consumer-facing software
Develop and enhance automated unit and integration testing for our application
Help our team keep critical systems, applications and services up and running
Participate in design and development of secure, scalable, failure-resistant systems
Help our team improve build and deployment processes through automation
Required for this role:
5+ years as a full-stack engineer working with modern web technologies
Experience as an engineer on high availability and high performing services
Experience with at least three very different programming languages such as C, C++, Lua, JavaScript, Java, C# or Go
Experience with complex software that crosses network boundaries
Good understanding of the fundamental concepts of system security
Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude with co-workers
Experience working with agile teams
