Accounting Manager Job Opening in Lake Havasu City, Arizona - The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the organization?s core accounting and consolidation functions which include Hospitality as well as F&B. CPA preferred, but not required. Please be sure you are capable and have experience with the following:
Principle Duties:
Assists the Chief Financial Officer in the management, consolidation, and reporting of accounting and financial activities
Establishes and maintains the organization?s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to senior management
Oversees and supervises the operation of the accounting department
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Enhances the accuracy of the company?s reported financial results, and ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
Responsible for all daily accounting functions for global operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
Conducts financial analysis of key performance indicators and historical data
Analyze and Audit Inventory Controls
Prepare Cost of Sales analysis.
Preparation of Sales Tax Returns for multiple divisions.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Must have ability to effectively interface with corporate office personnel
*Strong oral communication skills
Able to effectively work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Able to manage a team of direct reports and provide efficient and high quality oversight and management.
Able to write reports and business correspondence
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite of Programs and Quickbooks
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA preferred, but not required
Minimum of five years of direct experience in the accounting/finance field
Strong background in financial operations of large scale organizations
Food Service/ Hospitality Industry Experience a plus.
