Warehouse Worker Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Reports To: Distribution Manager & Receiving Manager
Purpose of Position:
The Warehouse Associate, with direction from the Distribution Manager, will be responsible for the continuous flow, organization, and back stock of include receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise. Warehouse associates will also handle incoming and outgoing merchandise from store to store. Efficiency, accuracy, cleanliness, and punctuality are expected. He or She must have the ability to make informative decisions, and solve problems in a critical and diligent manner.
:
Receives, processes, handles, organizes, and stores incoming merchandise and supplies in accordance to Tyler?s procedures and standards.
Ensures all documentation is accurate, organized, and complete.
Maintains an organized list of inventory that is absent from Tyler?s inventory management program during time of receiving.
Maintains stock room appearance and product organization to company standards.
Assists in the daily opening and closing duties.
Responsible for warehouse cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management. Ensures that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with Tyler?s policies, strategies, and procedures.
Skills
Ability to adjust priorities, make decisions quickly, and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain proper documentation pertaining to incoming shipment.
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and follow instructions.
Ability to lift 50lbs above chest.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Be familiar with basic functions of computers and technology.
Must be detail-oriented and highly -motivator with strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.

Our story began in 1978 in Tyler, Texas. Back then we were a single store specializing in tennis and running. Within a few years we were nationally recognized as one of the top 25 specialty running stores in the United we are proud to offer our customers a vast selection of superior athletic, lifestyle and collegiate apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and youth in five convenient Texas original store in Tyler is called Racquet and Jog. We have two stores in Austin; one on the main drag across from the University of Texas campus, and another at Villages of Westlake located on the southeast corner of Bee Caves and Capitol of Texas Highway. Our Dallas location is in the heart of University Park/Highland Park on Lovers and very close to the Dallas North Tollway. Our 5th store is located at Southlake Town Square and is approximately 10,200 square feet on the ground floor and 5,500 square feet on the basement level in the former Crate and Barrel space, for a total of 15,700 square feet. Our newest and largest TYLER?S location opened in October of 2013 across from The Woodlands Mall in the old Sears Auto Center occupying nearly 17,000 sq. ft.

Philanthropy
The non-profit foundation we are most passionate about is The Flatwater Foundation. This summer (June 2014) was the 5th annual TYLER?S Dam That Cancer event in which we raised nearly $250,000 for the foundation. The Flatwater Foundation is a local, Austin non-profit that provides access to mental healthcare for those affected by a cancer philanthropic efforts don?t stop there. Each store has a monthly budget in which we contribute to local, community donation and sponsorship requests. We also host meet ?n greets for local high school athletic teams. We create and produce a limited edition t-shirt where we donate sales back to the high school?s booster club.
