Our client, who has an established presence within the Wire and Cable industry, is looking for dynamic Sales Representatives that will have a direct impact on the future growth of the organization. This Outside Sales opportunity is a dynamic position that is responsible for growing sales and requires good organization and communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast paced growing environment. Experience in Fire Alarm, Security, HVAC, Building Automation, Energy Management, Data/Telecom, Lighting or Refrigeration Industries is a PLUS!

Responsibilities

Outside sales will spend about (3) days in the office generating new business
Generate as much contractor business as possible-ideally (6) sales per day
Establish and maintain customer relationships
Daily prospecting on potential customers
Generate new business via phone solicitation
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet organization goals
Review market analyses to determine customer needs and requirements
Define and execute sales objectives and goals
Provide sales activity reports on a pre-defined frequency that includes sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed expansion
Represent organization at trade meetings and/or events
Deliver sales presentations to customers
Support Inside Sales as needed
Provide support in quote follow-up and project information
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as requested
Pre-qualify opportunities
Utilize the sales process (chase to close)
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in related field
Experience in Fire Alarm, Security, HVAC, Building Automation, Energy Management, Data/Telecom, Lighting or Refrigeration Industries is a PLUS!
Candidates need to have multiple years of Sales experience in a Commercial Construction Environment and in the areas mentioned above
Previous experience selling to contractors within the construction business
Proactive and strategic ability to solicit new business
History of building revenue in assigned territory
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adapt to change in a fast paced environment
High energy and positive attitude
Experience and success in cold calling and closing new leads
Must be able to provide own transportation
Travel required (including overnight travel)
