Responsibilities:
Lead lean six sigma focused process improvement projects in a clinical setting within Navy Medicine
Implement data-driven quantitative and statistical analysis to identify areas for operational improvements within a hospital setting
Provide guidance to executive stakeholders on recommended systems, process improvements, best practices, and analytics solutions
Mentor regional black belts
Act as a direct interface between government leadership, hospital leadership and clinical staff
Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical workflows and health information systems
Verify projects meet the scope of the charter with measurable results and are aligned with Navy Medicine strategic initiatives.
Create and present project documents, deliverables, and analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree required
5+ years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or successful completion of 10+ Six Sigma Black Belt Projects
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification
Past project management or leadership experience
Capable of obtaining a government clearance (Secret or above)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated mastery and application of Lean and Six Sigma tools during DMAIC projects, Rapid Improvement Events, and Value Stream Analyses
Demonstrated understanding of industrial and systems engineering principles, analytics techniques, operations research, or related fields
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
Self-motivating with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master?s Degree preferred (MS/MPH/MBA)
2+ years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting in support of administration, operations, business intelligence and health information systems, or consulting initiatives
Prior experience working alongside federal government or military clients
