EMTs and Drivers Job Opening in Norfolk, Virginia - Commonwealth EMS is looking to add drivers and EMTs to our team of passionate healthcare professionals. There are several positions open as well as opportunities for career advancement.
Ideal applicants for driver positions should:
- Have a driver's license in Virginia
- Have a safe driving record
- Be able to lift heavy equipment and patients
- Have a valid EVOC certification (if you don't have one, we can help you get one)
- Have a valid CPR certification (we can help you get one)
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with crew members, company and facility staff, and other emergency personnel
- Be responsible, dedicated, and punctual
Ideal applicants for EMT positions should:
- Have a valid EMT-B license (at minimum)
- Have a valid CPR certification (we can help you get one)
- Be able to lift heavy equipment and patients
- Be familiar with the Office of EMS Rules and Regulations, especially regarding the administration of patient care
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with crew members, patients and their families, company and facility staff, and other emergency personnel
- Be responsible, dedicated, and punctual
Job Expectations
All Commonwealth EMS employees are expected to:
- Be on time, all the time
- Accurately and legibly complete Patient Care Reports and Vehicle Checklists
- Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles
- Go the extra mile in all aspects of the job - for patients and their families and for the company
- Adhere to company protocols and policies
