Recruiter/HR Assistant Job Opening in Madison, Wisconsin - Provide program assistance and clerical and administrative support to the Human Resource Generalist to ensure efficient operational functions that will help ensure that the agency?s mission, vision, and annual goals and objectives are accomplished. Recruiting is a main function of this position. Develop recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing objectives. Execute recruiting strategies to deliver suitable job candidates for assigned positions. Function as the primary back-up to the front Reception area at the corporate office. Provide general office support to both Human Resources and Administration.
Recruitment: develop and implement recruitment strategies; update job descriptions; place employment ads; review applications and resumes; conduct phone screens and interviews; perform background checks; contact employment references; extend offers of employment; schedule and perform orientations; and oversee initial and long-term training.
Assist in New Hire Orientation and processing new hire paperwork
I-9: Responsible for I-9 binder filing, forms supplies and auditing on an ongoing basis.
Run monthly credential reports to ensure compliance for annual BID/Care Giver verifications as well as review expiration dates on other credentials (90 day/annual review, auto insurance, TB test, etc.).
Assist the HR Generalist in maintaining accurate and current HRIS database (eRSP) with actives/terms and changes in data.
Receive ongoing inquiries from all managers, staff, for HR and Admin concerns; share appropriate information timely; forward sensitive or legal concerns to HR Generalist immediately. Refer all policy questions to HR Generalist; refer all payroll and timesheet questions to Payroll.
Education : High School graduate with an Associate?s degree is required; B.S.
preferred.
Experience : Minimum of three year?s office experience. One year of experience
working with Recruiting and Human Resources is required.
Skills/Special Knowledge: Excellent verbal communications skills; ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks; absolute confidentiality is critical. Professional, tactful and sensitive response to employee relations and confidential information is critical. Effective organization skills are required. Microsoft Office 2007 (e.g. Word, Power Point, Excel) Access and Outlook application experience with competency at ?intermediate level? is required; HRIS experience is required. Broad internet, research, reference checking and telephone survey skills are required. Prior knowledge and experience working with a wide range of office equipment is required.
Pay is based on experience.
