CNC Machinist Needed Job Opening in worcester, Massachusetts - CNC Machinist Needed CNC Machine Operator is needed for a company in the Worcester area. The CNC Machinist is responsible for the manufacture of prototype component parts, and machines tooling and fixtures as required. Specify and purchase standard and special cutting tools and raw material for each part. This Machinist will operate machinery and equipment including: CNC machining centers, CNC lathe, standard milling machine, standard lathe, surface grinder, and standard machine shop equipment. Working environment requires high accuracy with very close tolerances. Requires working knowledge of geometric tolerances. Ability to inspect completed work with a variety of measuring equipment such as height gages, micrometers, verniers, dial indicators and CNC coordinate machine. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Setup and operate CNC vertical machining centers. Operate and maintain all machine shop equipment, using safe work practices and conduct. Setup a variety of machines and equipment to fabricate tooling, fixturing, etc. Perform many hand tool operations such as fitting, polishing, and deburring. Select and purchase the proper tools and accessories for each assignment. Select and purchase raw material as needed for each assignment. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Work with design engineers and manufacturing engineers with the fabrication of prototypes. Maintain an accurate inventory of drills, taps, dies, and all other miscellaneous supplies to avoid delays. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
