Roles & Responsibilities
The role of the Financial/Business Analyst is to support the managers of the accounting, finance and contracts team. In this role, the duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Accounting/Finance Support:
Accounts payable entry and check processing
Corporate credit card administration and reconciliation
Employee expense report processing
Payroll processing (backup)
Invoicing customers
Record cash receipts and track status of account receivables
Monitoring budgets vs. actuals
support:
Subcontractor administration: mod , RFP , subK verification (SAMs, insurance)
Update contract briefs
Reps & Certs preparation and renewals
Update backlog report
Contract entry and data updates to accounting system
NDA administration
Program Management Support:
Review and enter subcontractor invoices, and validate against timesheets
Work Authorization and Timesheet processing
Timesheet Administration ? accounts, work authorization, tasks/jobs/billing setup
Support PM?s by providing financial support/reporting
Enter funding in the system and monitor status
Producing Fund Man Hour Reports (FMHRs)
Proposal Support:
Construct pricing tables and cost volumes
Data call tracking and maintenance
Prepare and package cost proposal documents: CD labels, Mailing labels, tabs, and notebooks.
Qualifications:
The successful Financial/Business Analyst must have a Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or related discipline with at least 3 to 5 years experience in the government contracting industry supporting and/or performing accounting/business processes (e.g. payroll, AP, AR, GL, , etc.). The selected Analyst must have the following skills and experience:
Strong attention to detail and aptitude for numbers
Adaptable to perform many different types of functions within a team
Willing to perform any necessary administrative tasks supporting the team
Process oriented and organized
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (a must), Word and PowerPoint
Proficient with accounting software packages
Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
Excellent communication and customer skills (both verbal and written)
US Citizen; will be subjected to background and credit check investigation.
