Accountant Job Opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana - This accounting position will provide controllership in the financial operations and financial reporting functions for multiple legal entities within the MedPro Group.
Responsibilities:
Financial reporting
Financial analysis
Account reconciliations
Consolidation of legal entities
Assisting in the design, development, and improvement of financial systems and controls
Assist in the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures
Prepare GAAP, STAT and consolidated financial statements
Assist in the design and development of financial systems and controls
Prepare and analyze financial variances and other finance metrics
Ensure timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations
Ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory filings
Assist in the completion of Model Audit requirements
Lead and/or participate in special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree with Major in Accounting
CPA designation preferred
Insurance Industry experience
GAAP and SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles) knowledge
Controllership experience in financial reporting, consolidation and analyzing and enhancing financial systems and controls
