Position Description
As a District Sales Representative, you will be the eyes and ears of the company to the current and target customer bases. Additional responsibilities will include:
Interacting with customers on a daily basis and being the industry expert when it comes to water treatment chemicals and process.
Building good rapport with the customers in your territory and building trust with them.
Working in a few industrial segments depending on if you are in the ?Light?, ?Heavy? or ?Institutional? markets.
Going into the facility and running tests on boilers, cooling towers, and other systems and making recommendations as to the appropriate company product that would add value to the organization.
Position Details:
Location: Portland, OR
Training: You will start out in a 6-month training program that includes 2 weeks of formal training. You will gain knowledge and experience with many types of industrial equipment, including reverse osmosis systems, clarifiers, treatment equipment, boilers, cooling towers, refrigeration and a wide range of piping, valves and pumps.

Requirements:
A Bachelor?s degree in a science or business field is preferred. Technical experience from the military with a ?soft? degree will be acceptable in some instance.
Must be tech-savvy, and have a science background. A background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have some sales experience, but this is far from a hard requirement.
Must have strong leadership and relationship building skills.
Must have a strong work ethic, competitive drive, versatility, technical aptitude, and autonomy.
Must be coachable, have strong loyalty, and willing to relocate in the future.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must express a strong desire to be in sales.
Must have a good driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 5 years).
