We live our mission of improving the care of people facing life-limiting illness every day and are seeking a dedicated, TeleCaring Specialist to join us in our Morgantown, WV location. This is a Call Center environment which requires flexibility in hours/shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The TeleCaring Specialist will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks and duties including providing first tier proactive telephone support to both advanced illness patients and their families/caregivers and following established protocol and documenting all patient/caregiver interactions in the appropriate EMR forms. The ideal TeleCaring Specialist should be upbeat and maintain a pleasant working attitude when dealing with patients/caregivers and with other members of the interdisciplinary group. The TeleCaring Specialist must demonstrate technical competency in the use of computer telephony systems and computer applications, maintaining accurate patient medical records and scheduling phone appointments appropriately.
EDUCATION:
High School Education ? required. Certified Medical Assistant (or eligible for certification), certified nursing assistant, or equivalent a plus. College level coursework in Psychology or Healthcare desirable.
EXPERIENCE:
1 years customer service experience ? required.1 year experience in a Medical Assistant position ? highly desirable. Experience utilizing an electronic medical records system ? preferred. Recent experience in Hospice, Hospital, long term care, or home health care, which provided knowledge of basic patient-care activities desirable
