API Management and Integration Architect
This role will assist in the establishment and implementation of a modern API Management and integration architecture, working with client stakeholders to rationalize existing integration technologies, define a forward-looking API Management strategy and architecture, and provide technical and implementation leadership in the resulting technology selection(s).
Responsibilities
Evaluate implemented integration technologies and recommend a future state API Management strategy
Provide leadership in establishing an architecture for the delivery of RESTful APIs
Develop technical expertise in chosen API technologies and frameworks
Create API development guidelines and best practices
Recommend improvements to existing API development processes
Experience Experience in SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) and API development. Proficiency in Java-based Web Service development and API-related technologies. Experience developing software using an Agile methodology. Requirements
5+ years Developing Web Services and working with related API technologies (REST, JSON, RAML, XML, WSDL, SOAP, XSLT)
Strong knowledge of API Management concepts & fundamentals; CA API Management tool a plus
Experience with ESB technologies such as Mule, IBM MQ, TIBCO or similar technologies
Senior to Lead level Java and JavaScript skills
Solid understanding of relevant authentication & authorization standards, such as SAML, OAuth2 and OpenID
Experience with MSSQL and Oracle Databases
Ability to quickly grasp & learn new technologies and develop POC/prototypes
Good communication skills and extensive experience working with technical teams and management
Understanding of software development lifecycle principles and best practices
Knowledge of the Agile development methodologies
