POSITION SUMMARY
Working in collaboration with the Director of Development and Marketing, this individual will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all Restore Donor acquisitions and donor relations. Generate revenue, meet budget and maintain profitability objectives in support of Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity operations through the procurement of targeted products. Maintain existing donor relationships and identify new markets and produce donor opportunities through phone calls, face to face appointment, cold calls, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the implementation of the annual strategic donor activities in the Las Vegas area, including major accounts (individual and corporate).
Analyze potential donations and impact of procurement to the net profit of ReStores and housing projects.
Minimum of 30 phone calls/cold call visits per week.
Minimum of 5 in-person scheduled appointments per week.
Weekly meeting with management to update the team on successes, opportunities, and challenges.
Assist in seeking out sponsorships for future expenditures (trucks, truck wraps, mobile mini containers, etc.)
Research listings of manufacturers, distributors, and vendors of product for potential donations.
Maintain and develop procedures to ensure effective collecting, recording, accounting, acknowledgement and follow-up on all donations.
Develop and maintain contact reports and monthly move management reports.
Track number of cold calls, donor contacts per month and provides monthly report of activities including donation values.
Attends trade shows to learn about new materials and meet prospective donors.
Build rapport with potential and actual donors to maintain strong donor relationships.
In cooperation with the scheduler, helps facilitate logistics and planning of pickups.
Works with ReStore Manager to strategize top selling merchandise and ensure space availability and timely processing to acquire value of donations.
Assist with the marketing of the ReStores and helps develop collateral material.
Execute all strategies and activities to advance donor acquisitions by at least 10% annually.
Identify key fund development trends and conduct research and identification of prospective corporate and individual donors.
Coordinate with the Community Involvement Manager the implementation of donor/volunteer engagement opportunities, show staffing and other duties as assigned.
Engage the Board of Directors to expand our donor base and acquire event sponsorships.
Represent Habitat at community meetings, general meetings, and special events, as needed.
Create, manage, reconcile and adhere to event budgets, records and deadlines.
Follow acceptable donation guidelines.
Other duties as requested by the Director of Development.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS* : *
Associates Degree or 3 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in fundraising/sales, and working with customers, clients or donors.
Proven account development skills and ability to build business with new accounts.
Effective and productive use of time on a daily basis through strong self-directed organization, time-management and territory management skills.
Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of database programs and all Microsoft Office programs; ability to use the internet and basic office equipment, Donor Perfect or another similar fundraising tool preferred.
Ability to work well not only as part of a small, dynamic team, but also independently.
Acceptable driving record as determined by Habitat?s insurance company and policies.
Strong problem solving skills.
Communicates effectively both verbally and written in a positive and professional manner.
Adapts to changes in the work environment
Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and cope well under pressure.
Maintains confidentiality.
