Senior Web Developer Job Opening in Lees Summit, Missouri - Summary
Designs, develops, implements and supports web based solutions to meet business needs of our clients and subsidiaries. Provides technical leadership in addressing complex systems solutions. Designs and develops internet/intranet framework, forms and content. Works closely with the Team Lead, Web Architect, Information Services technical staff and the business staff to design and develop web solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Consults with users and technical staff, determines needs, and designs application development web based solutions. Suggests alternative approaches to fulfill user needs. Utilizes website development methodology in assuring all enhancements are properly tested. Analyzes and monitors the resources required for website affiliates and the corporate intranet.
Analyzes and implements application development web based solutions to meet business needs using Framework, C#, Typescript, MS Visual Studio, JavaScript/ HTML/ XML/ MS Server Products Analyzes business processes, workflow, database requirements, and existing business application functionality to develop project programming estimates and development specifications.
Engineers/designs, documents and solves complex software solutions using Microsoft technologies with oversight from the Architecture Review Board.
Responds to requests for data or for data analysis including reporting, normalization, field mapping, and duplicate record detection using SQL query languages.
Develops and maintains documentation of programs, user guides, policies and procedures. Manages and assists with training on newly developed applications.
Documents production application providing required information for Computer Operations and Network Services staffs.
Communicates project progress and status to Manager, Application Development and with the Web Development team members.
Evaluates existing applications and systems. Recommends improvements or modifications utilizing current technologies and techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Requires 6-8 years of experience in Web programming and application development using C# and , JavaScript, HTML and ASP that includes project analysis and knowledge of MS Visual Studio, MS Server products and MS office products and development of Web services (RESTful).
Four additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Must have completed one or more current certifications related directly to software development. Prefer Microsoft Certified Developer certification.
Ability to effectively maintain focus and productivity while working on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and guidance.
