Software Test Engineer Job Opening in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland - Join OMNI Technologies? Information Systems team to conduct automated and manual tests on software and emerging technologies for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Required Skills:
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Software Tester
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, security, cross platform testing
Up to date knowledge of the latest testing developments
Possess excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Experience using Team Foundation Server or Microsoft Test Manager
Key Job Functions:
Omni Technologies? Information Systems team seeks an experienced Software Tester to provide technical expertise with evaluating and testing software applications and systems. In this role, you will:
Ensure newly developed products are ready to perform before deployed.
Review of software requirements
Monitoring applications and software systems
Preparation of test cases
Writing and executing test scripts
Execution of tests
Manage testing projects during each phase of the software development life cycle
Make improvements to functionality, design, and usage of new products
Provide feedback to developers about fixes and starategies
Ability to cross-analyze software development documentation
Basic Qualifications:
An individual must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:
Possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
Pass a background investigation
Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office and software testing and reporting tools.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
