Gaia, Inc. is the world?s largest subscription video on demand provider of transformational media. We are seeking to grow our finance team in Louisville, Colorado. This person will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis of Gaia, Inc.

Position requires regular communication with the business affairs, content licensing, sales, and content providers. Excellent customer relations, attention-to-detail, written, and oral communication skills are essential to the success of this position.
We are seeking a passionate candidate to help assist with the Royalties and Accounting processes. This person would embrace hard work and a good challenge while living the Colorado lifestyle.
The candidate will be specifically charged with contract maintenance, title tracking, accounts payable, and other finance tasks as assigned. This is a hands-on position. We are seeking a unique individual who combines:
Excellent communication and people skills
Highly organized, motivated, and detailed
Preference will be given to candidates with prior royalty experience
Ability to learn new software applications quickly
Responsibilities
Royalties responsibilities will be focused on maintaining the content library and associated rights within Media Maestro (rights and royalty management system), specific duties include:
- Contract input and title tracking
- Licensing payment requests - Processing monthly and quarterly royalty calculations and payments
- Other duties as appropriate
Accounting responsibilities will be focused on assisting the accounting team as needed, including:
- Invoice entry and vendor set up
- Working with vendors and internal team to ensure all vendor files are complete and accurate - Recording cash activity
- Assisting with month end close as directed
Qualifications
Understanding of Microsoft Office Software applications, particularly Excel with the ability to learn and reconcile to other customized systems is required
Preferred advanced Excel: Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, working with large datasets
Tenacious attention to detail
Creative, innovative, resilient and fearless
Able to multitask several projects at once
Thrive under pressure 2+ years royalty and/or general accounting experience
