Duuzra is a cloud based business intelligence software that can be used to create engaging applications and collect data. With a recent round of funding and user uplift we are looking for an IT and Security veteran to help us bolster and maintain company and product security and oversee global IT Operations.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, enjoys challenges and developing ideas and systems, has the ability to organize and implement ideas, and enjoys working with a generally awesome team or co-workers and clients. You will manage the Global IT team that is currently in place and you will work closely with the development team, Head of Product, and Head of Operations. You will be a big key player in the expansion of Duuzra and its quickly scaling product.
Main Responsibilities
Manage and develop IT staff including mentoring, training and evaluation.
Oversee management and support of company equipment and software.
Responsible for prioritization, resourcing, and time lines.
Ensure the continuous operation, proactive maintenance, monitoring and enhancement of the mission critical IT systems across multiple sites.
Create and own the backup and disaster recovery plan.
Develop, document and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices including security, disaster recovery, standards, change management and service provision.
Strengthen cyber security, perform risk assessments and implement strategic solutions that increase data safety and mitigate emerging security threats. Educate employees in the area of compliance and cyber security.
Identify and define opportunities to improve business processes and deliver solutions.
Direct software and hardware life-cycle management to minimize business risk in line with investment and acceptable risk tolerance.
Oversee software licensing compliance.
Serve as primary contact for external vendor interactions.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
Minimum of 5 years relevant technical, professional experience demonstrating a manager level career progression
Minimum of 2 years managing a department of IT professionals
Demonstrates excellent people skills with a proven ability to lead and inspire team members
Proven cyber security background implementing measures such as user access management, firewalls and encryption, monitoring and auditing systems for violations, and executing corrective actions.
Experience setting enterprise detection and/or response strategy
Experience working as part of a CIRT/CSIRT/SOC or similar organization
Experience communicating product requirements to product management and development teams
Experience with security data analysis, machine learning or other data science areas
Experience acquiring, translating, documenting, and implementing business requirements
Understanding of agile software development
Understanding of technologies, such as; high avaiablility webservers, nosql databases, javascript, vitualisation
Experience with Microsoft exchange, Amazon web services, VPN, WLAN, TCIP, VMware (or similar), Ubuntu/Centos administration, telephony, NAS
Experience within (or managing) a global internal and external service desk environment
Familiar with proactive monitoring, maintenance and capacity planning methodologies and tools.
Analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible availability for after-hours work and ability to travel.
Ability to influence outcomes and focus on technology solutions that drives productivity.
Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned
