Exciting Opportunity Available for a Nurse or Physical Therapist with a Love for Wound Care, Long Term Care and Account Management/Sales.
American Medical Technologies (AMT) is the leading independent provider of wound care solutions for long term care (LTC) facilities in the United States. AMT operates nationwide and currently services residents in over 49 states and 4,700 LTC facilities, providing these facilities with wound specialists for ongoing, comprehensive wound care education specific to the unique demands of the LTC industry. As an accredited Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supplier (DMEPOS), AMT also provides wound dressings to qualifying residents. AMT has been in business since 1994 and currently employs over 150 Clinical Specialists/Account Executives.
In addition to wound care, AMT strives to meet the other various needs of the post-acute market, including medication management and other programs to improve quality of care and quality of life in the senior care and long-term care market. The Clinical Specialist/Account Executive we are searching to hire is a nurse (RN,LPN) or physical therapist (PT,PTA) with experience in wound care, sales and account management. The candidate needs to relate well with others;enjoy working with multiple clients; have good communication skills; strong skills be an active, lifetime learner; take initiative; have the ability to overcome obstacles and maintain a positive attitude; have strategic thinking skills; be organized; and want to further his or her professional growth with the vast opportunities for education, autonomy, and leadership available at AMT.
In addition, because this is a position that requires one to work with several different accounts throughout the month, the candidate needs to be a hard working self-starter and able to manage a flexible full-time right individual also needs to be able to manage a varied work schedule with travel at least 4 days a week to facilities within a radius of approximately 2-3 hours from their home, with occasional longer distances for outlying facilities. Responsibilities include scheduling rounds with assigned LTC facilities to facilitate timely ordering of wound dressings, providing comprehensive, ongoing education to LTC staff on appropriate product utilization and other services/products offered by AMT, introducing new programs offered by AMT into the long term care market, and selling, securing and retaining new business in the LTC arena.
Compensation includes a base salary, bonus structure, paid expenses, full benefits and company car. Additionally, our clinical specialists/account executives work from their home. There is a five week training period which will require travel. AMT utilizes proprietary software designed by our clinicians to eliminate paper and maximize productivity. This position requires basic computer skills. The candidate needs to be independent with general Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Since our clinical specialists/account executives enjoy working from home, they also need to be independent with online HR services and online training programs. Additional technical skills of learning new software and understanding electronic medical records in LTC are a plus. This position requires a current nursing or physical therapy license with ideally 2 or more years of wound care experience. Having a current wound certification is preferable. For candidates not wound certified, AMT supports training to obtain an accredited wound certification within a preset time frame. Experience in long term care, account management/sales, Medicare regulations and working independently is also helpful.
