General Ledger Accountant Job Opening in Tacoma, Washington - Tool Gauge and Machine Works, Inc. is located in Tacoma, Washington. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to fill the position of General Ledger Accountant.
This position?s responsibility is to apply the principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
Duties and responsibilities:
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
Audits contracts, orders, vouchers, RMA?s/credits and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
Monitors compliance with GAAP and Company procedures.
Review and investigate any errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
Installs, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
Devises and implements systems for general accounting.
Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.
Collects appropriate data and prepares state and local report and tax returns. Annual financial compilation and review with CPA.
Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
Qualification:
Master?s degree in accounting.
Corporate Finance and reporting skills.
Good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail is essential.
Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.
Experience with MRP software (JobBOSS and IQMS)
