Cost Analyst Job Opening in Shawnee, Kansas - This position is responsible for performing accounting and analyzing data from production operations of the division. It also includes, but is not limited to, production of periodic division financial reports, enhancing the accuracy of the company?s reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with company standards. The position will be responsible for system administration of the IQMS system utilized by the division and act as liaison between the division and corporate accounting and IT. The employee will also follow all SQF (Safe Quality Food) rules and procedures pertaining to this job as outlined in the training program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the operations of the accounting functions within the division by adhering to corporate accounting policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with corporate standards; ensuring that accounts receivables are collected promptly and recommending benchmarks (KPI?s) against which to measure the performance of company operations.
Oversees the operations of system accounting functions by working with corporate accounting and IT in recommending any necessary redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications within IQMS to better serve the company; acts as corporate liaison in investigating and analyzing feasibility of system requirements and recommending additional system specifications; identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership, management and training within the IQMS system.
Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Supports sales team by acting as liaison between sales, customer service office staff and operations.
Works with management on company initiatives by keeping abreast of new company products and services.
