Responsibilities:
Oversees all aspects of accounting and financial management for the organization including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Project Reporting
Prepares financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually
Prepares year-end audit reports and annual budgets
Works with grants administrators in preparing budgets for research studies
Prepares quarterly reports for the Board of Directors
Performs bank reconciliation monthly
Assists in development of accounting policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable financial provisions of research contracts
Supervises staff accountant in payroll management and invoicing
Reconciles and validates allocations to General Ledger accounts
Supports year-end audit, including schedule preparation, audit samples.
Works with medical research investigators to review project financial information
Qualifications:
Requirement ? Bachelor?s Degree in accounting or equivalent experience
CPA license or candidate highly desirable
5 years of accounting experience
United States citizen
Excellent accounting software skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
Non-profit accounting experience
