Outsourced Accountant/Sr. Accountant Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our outsourced accounting team! The ideal candidate must be willing to travel to local client sites within the metropolitan DC area.
Responsibilities:
· A/P, A/R, bank and investment reconciliations
· Payroll and related tax preparation
· Indirect cost allocations
· Budget development and management
· Comprehensive financial statements
· Cash flow management
· Program accounting
· Tracking and reporting of restricted funds
· Assistance with grant management
· Audit preparation (to include A-133 audits)
· Assistance with 990 preparation
· insurance policies
· Management of retirement plan deferrals and contributions
· Reconciliation of retirement plan deferrals and contributions
Qualifications:
· Accounting Degree or related field
· Previous experience in accounting or other related fields of a minimum of 3- 5 years
· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
· Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and other accounting programs
· Must be willing to commute to client sites in DC, MD and VA
· Analytical and problem solving skills area must
· Non-profit experience is preferred
