Sales Consultant Job Opening in Missoula, Montana - Division: Outside Sales
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Basic Function:
This function requires a thorough knowledge of field sales. The incumbent drives sales performance within the market area by creating business plans, establishing a regular call plan, conducting market events, and helping the accounts grow with all brands. This position requires initiative, a highly developed sense of responsibility and a proven record of one or more years of success in sales. Business planning experience is highly desirable. The incumbent must be customer service oriented. Knowledge of sales activities and related sales problems is essential. The position exists for the purpose increasing Salon Services penetration in territory across all product lines. The job requires an increase client base, retaining and growing existing business through dissemination of sales promotions and development of business strategies. Incumbent will fully ensure there is follow-up on leads generated by SSS/Vendors marketing and sales. You have the ability to complete job responsibilities with minimum supervision.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties will include:
Minimum Growth over prior period/year of 5% in own territory.
Physically servicing an average of 12 salon locations a day.
Open a minimum of 2 color doors per month (hair consultant)
Open a minimum of 3 wet doors per month (hair consultant)
Open a minimum of 1 smoothing door per month ( hair consultant)
Meet and exceed established sale goal per vendor.
Fulfillment of meeting KPIs.
Sell allocated amount of established educational events/classes.
Maintain and enhance knowledge of all products, services and clients.
Certified in all product lines carried to be able to educate all clients on product usage and sell through.
Maintains communication by following the 24 hour response guideline.
Adherence to master routing schedule determined by management.
On-site servicing of all active accounts as well as potential accounts within actual location versus tele-support per call cycle.
Complete and submit all required paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
Maintain and continuously update files and account profiles on each salon.
Provide consistently high level of client service with a goal of zero client complaints.
Develop and implement detailed, comprehensive programs to build salon business (3-month planner) within a minimum of your top 10 accounts.
Support the activities of the manufacturers' representatives staff.
Adherence with all departments company policies, procedures and programs.
Preserve and promote the Salon Services image in all trade relations.
Assist with sales efforts with Showrooms and Inside Sales.
Attend required company functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Travels daily by car to visit accounts, and depending on territory size, requires overnights monthly to service accounts outside of driving distance. The position requires regular attendance at sales meetings such as monthly meetings and national sales meetings which will require overnights. Participating in regional or national trade shows may be a requirement and those events often overlap with weekends.
Works actively in the field on a daily basis, ensuring accounts needs are being properly serviced.
Maintains and assures a safe work environment, embracing safe driving practices.
