Retail Salesperson Job Purpose: Provide outstanding customer service while driving increased sales.
Salesperson Job Duties : Welcomes customers promptly and offers assistance. * ; Qualifies customers needs and advises customers by providing product information based on those needs. * ; Confidently asks for and closes sales quickly and efficiently. * ; Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash or credit cards using POS software. * ; Assists in maintaining a clean, well-merchandised sales floor and completes all tasks assigned by manager in a timely manner.
: : High school diploma OR equivalent required, 2-4 year college degree preferred. Previous sales experience preferred but not required.
Communication Skills : Effective written and verbal Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Able to use a calculator.
Physical Demands : This position involves constant moving and standing. Involves occasionally lifting 50+ lbs. May occasionally involve reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. May involve reaching above eye level. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
