.NET Developer Job Opening in Syosset, New york - Come build a career with an industry leader! The Developer is responsible for supporting existing web and client server applications, enhancing application design, application creation features and functions, troubleshooting end systems issues and applying bug fixes. Candidate will work closely with the functional resources to ensure that applications are fulfilling business requirements. Activities will include all aspects of development lifecycles (e.g. architect design, analysis, design, development, test, etc.). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring application development standards are adhered to, both for their own development and that of application developers within their immediate group. This individual may also need to assist with overseeing day-to-day activities of development team.
Responsibilities
Assist Solution Architects in leading the Capacity planning, Analysis, Design, Development, and Develop test cases activities for Application Development.
Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
Provide support for the existing applications development and maintenance.
Coding, Unit testing, User Acceptance Testing, Bug fixes, Deployment activities.
Investigate new technologies and approaches to address business needs and improve existing systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5+ years of work experience in the areas of Software development, design, coding, integration, maintenance and testing of web based applications using Microsoft Technologies.
Must have high working technical knowledge with Technologies like Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5, , Entity Framework, LINQ ,Web Services, Web Forms, AJAX, MVC, WCF, REST Services.
Strong experience and understanding in C#, and programming languages.
Sound knowledge in Web Technologies HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, AngularJS.
Experience in creating stored procedures, triggers and views in SQL Server 2008/2012/2016
Experience in Microsoft TFS source control tool a plus.
Strong experience designing and working with Service Oriented architecture as well as n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer)
Experience with Middleware integration software (Jitterbit, Mulesoft) and SalesForce framework is a plus.
Ability to securely understand PCI, OWASP development framework, ISO 27001/27002, SOX and HIPAA regulations is very much needed.
Experience developing End-to-end Test cases/execution.
Highly self-motivated, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to collaborate by phone and email.
Education and Experience
BS/Master's degree or equivalent in computer application
