Sr. Accountant- Financial Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - TalentSource360 is a rapidly growing recruitment firm based in the Washington DC area. Our recruitment team brings decades of experience recruiting industry leading accounting and finance talent for clients across a variety of industries in the DC area. Currently we are assisting a client in their search for a Lead Accountant with experience supporting a Consumer Lending and Financial Services environment. This role will join an established Accounting team, charged with the management the month-end close process. As the Lead Accountant, primary responsibilities will include all month-end close activities, including consolidations, revenue recognition, accruals, and financial reporting support.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Providing the Finance team with supporting data for quarterly and annual filing
Review financial statements and assist finance in disclosure statements
Work with other departments to provide analysis on financial data as needed
Support special projects as requested by senior leadership
Qualified candidates will have the following:
4-6 years experience in role within the Consumer Lending or Financial Services industry
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
Experience within Public Accounting a plus (BIG4 preferred)
Experience with all facets of general accounting and monthly reporting under GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
Experience working with various financial and accounting systems
Advanced experience building complex tools in excel using pivot tables, VLookups, etc?
