Overview
Summary:
Responsible for supporting unlimited end users/groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software functionality, and peripherals, while considering the business implications of technology to the current and future business environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Uses acquired skills and experience related to business management and operations management, to provide support to end users, and facilitates solving their business problems/issues with software functionality and available technology
Often acts as a business expert, and assists users in defining their needs, analyzing and documenting their business process, as well as drafting requirement documentation, for programming requests.
Responsible for/assists with, the creation of procedures for applications functionality
May be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing corporate policies, standards and methodologies
May be responsible for training the user in the interpretation of information systems reports, and effectively use the business system
Works with corporate strategies to meet current and long-term organizational needs, identifying other software tools and hardware necessary for successful business problem resolution
Formulates or assists in/defining project scopes and objectives, that they may be involved with
Reviews and evaluates project feasibility studies based on requirements and priorities
Assists in assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying resources needed, and developing and working to achieve project schedules, results, and deadlines
Active member on business system implementation project team, supporting successful project metrics and operation of information systems and required equipment
Manages liaison between information systems and other functions in the company
Acts to ensure integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and related intellectual property through information security and access management
Guides and advises less experience business analysts
Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor?s degree, or APICS CPIM/CIRM required
Experience:
Eight (8) years related experience
Business system project implementation, or upgrade experience preferred
Experience with QAD?s MFGPRO and manufacturing companies preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications as they pertain to company goals and strategy
Performs tasks utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills
Performs tasks requiring a proven track record with end users
Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
Position Specific Title and Responsibilities:
Must be willing to travel, up to approximately 20% annually
Must be able to function effectively within a team environment and promote a team environment.
