Entry-Level Group Sales Rep Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - This role is the perfect launch of your Marketing career as you will gain experience prospecting and selling group tickets, season passes, special event tickets and catering to an assigned territory. In addition, the Representative will coordinate, execute and provide follow-through for group outings.
Minimum Requirements:
1. AS degree or higher (Marketing or Business ? preferred but not mandatory)
2. Leisure entertainment or destination sales experience preferred
3. Highly organized, having ability to handle a significant number of sales assignments simultaneously
4. Possess reliable personal transportation for use in carrying out outside sales responsibilities
5. Ability to perform sales follow-through from lead development through sales close and billing
Illustrative Duties:
1. Generate sales to annual goals established by the Director of Marketing and Sales.
2. Conduct all sales responsibilities at the highest level of professionalism.
3. Conduct ongoing, effective telephone and outgoing sales efforts to generate new business and to maintain existing clientele in assigned markets.
4. Accurately complete all required sales documentation (call logs) and reportage on an efficient and timely basis.
5. Represent Schlitterbahn at trade show, community events and other lead-generating opportunities in order to increase sales.
6. Organize and execute caterings and other client park events on an efficient and effective basis.
7. Execute direct mail and email activities and follow-up to generate sales.
8. Provide department support in assuming ?sales duty(s)? during regular season.
9. Develop relationships with business entities, and special interest organizations to promote group business.
10. Support the goals and direction of the management of Schlitterbahn, in an effort to successfully execute the policies and procedures to insure a safe, positive experience for the guest as well as the employees of the Park.
11. Check on pre-park entry set-up and special needs for large groups (such as check-in for ticket distribution etc...)
12. Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Sales.
