Entry Level Accounting Associate Job Opening in New York, New york - We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. For immediate consideration, a resume must be submitted. A cover letter is preferred but not required.
Client Details: Our client is a leading retail organization in Midtown Manhattan
Responsibilities:
Verifies and posts Accounts Receivable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
Follows standard operating procedures for processing cash and receipts.
Sorts and files documents after cash is posted.
Scans in deposits to lockbox or prepares bank deposits and makes deposits at bank.
Follows up on correspondence received in connection with incoming payments.
Files and copies.
Profile
High School or Bachelor's Degree required , Accounting or Finance preferred
1-2 years of relevant experience OR Accounting internship experience
Knowledge of Excel
Self-starter and good communication skills
