Senior Tax Associate Job Opening in Albany, New york - POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible in assisting with all aspects of income tax compliance, including federal and state tax, tax planning activities, and complete other projects as directed for Business and Individual Tax Service. In addition to return preparation, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare tax provision schedules
Analysis of general ledger accounts for tax transactions including acquisitions and dispositions
Prepare and gather apportionment information for state tax returns
Maintain fixed asset system, including tracking all acquisitions, dispositions and transfers of assets, reconciling to book, and computing tax depreciation expense
Research federal and state tax issues and assist in the development of ongoing tax strategies in order to minimize tax liabilities
