Lounge Server - Bavette's Steakhouse & Bar Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - This restaurant concept is part of the branding transformation from Monte Carlo to Park MGM. It is the primary responsibility of the Lounge Server to expedite guest food and drink orders as well as provide beverage and bussing service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures, as well as Park MGM and Hogsalt Brand Standards.
Demonstrate SHOW Basics for Guest Satisfaction.
Has complete knowledge of products and specifications.
This person represents the service staff to our customers by greeting guests at their table.
The Lounge Server is responsible for food and drink orders with the support of the Bartenders and Food Servers.
Responsible entering in orders in the POS system when necessary and closing checks with the assistance of the Bartenders.
Responsible for a specific station and should be present on the floor ensuring service runs smoothly while still supporting other team members in other stations when possible and necessary.
Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous food and beverage service to guests.
Follow uniform and appearance standards.
Maintain a working knowledge of casino events and promotions.
Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the room and department.
Provides VIP priority service to guests who are MLIFE Rewards Card members.
Greets guest's promptly with a smile, making eye contact and using their name whenever possible.
Describes menu as needed including menus, specialty cocktails and bottle service menus.
Delivers drinks in a timely fashion using a server tray for every drink or cocktail.
Oversee Lounge Section maintenance, coordinates service at the tables, chairs and or seats.
Continues to monitor the guest for satisfaction throughout the shift.
Operates as a member of a team, helping others and requesting help as needed.
Assists in making sure the station is stocked and ready for service.
Makes sure that the guest?s check is completed properly and presented promptly with a ?thank you?. Please make sure to use the guest?s name at all times. Ensures that change or charge slip is returned to the guest in a timely manner.
Performs assigned side work.
Communicates the needs of the guests to the bartender and management. Informs management of guest?s reactions and comments. Assists management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service.
Knows how to operate point of sale register correctly. Responsible for accurately accounting for every drink poured.
Responsible service of alcoholic beverages only to guests over 21 years of age.
Helps promote safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests.

Performs other restaurant side duties as requested by management.
Follows and executes the MGM Resorts, Primrose and PARK MGM service standards as outlined in training.
Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required.
Required:
At least 2 years in a cocktail/lounge server experience.
Working knowledge of tableside service, food, wine, beer, and liquor
Excellent customer service skills.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts and team members.
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Mirage standards.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Bilingual.
Previous experience working in a similar resorts setting.
