In this role, you will lead areas of the monthly G/L journal entry close and analysis. You will use SQL daily to extract data. Expect to research and ensure reporting is performed in accordance with US GAAP, You will also work with other colleagues on policy, processes, and procedures to ensure transactional issues are resolved in a timely manner and in accordance with corporate monthly quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

The position requires 2+ years in data analytics, corporate accounting, or financial analysis. This company hires candidates with a positive professional attitude, a successful track record of working with others on professional teams. Written and verbal communication skills must be well above average as this position requires extensive work with people across many departments and in the C suite.
Technically, you need to be able to use SQL queries efficiently to pull financial information and analyze it. You need to be able to make g/l journal entries including monthly close reconciliations, arranging results for SEC reporting purposes including MD&A and other executive level needs. Previous experience on Oracle, SAP, Peoplsoft or other large accounting and reporting system is required. Strong sense of self and desire to learn and grow required. Programming skills such as SAS, STATA, and VBA are considered a plus.
