Program Director-Home weatherization Job Opening in los angeles, California - Program Director-Home weatherization The Opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director will be responsible for all aspects of residential (e.g., apartments and homes) energy efficiency audit and inspection services, contract compliance, quality control, fiscal management and service delivery for the Energy and Weatherization contract. The Director will provide leadership and administration management for contract partners, staff and community partner agencies to ensure that Eastern Los Angeles Energy Assistance Team (ELEAT) meets and exceeds service expectations. Qualifications 7 years of progressively responsible and related experience in residential energy efficiency audits and inspection management, or housing assistance program experience while working preferably for a non-profit organization. 5 years of supervisory experience. HS Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor�s degree preferably in energy engineering or related field. Equivalent combination of qualifying education and/or experience may be acceptable. Must have or be willing to obtain weatherization evaluator certification, (Home Energy Ratings) certification, or other equal residential or building performance certification from California Department of Community Services Development and/or a reputable and approved education entity. Knowledge Working knowledge and familiarity of workflow, documentation, budgets, program reports, quality assurance and eligibility process associated with Home Energy Assistance & Energy Crisis Intervention (HEAP/ECIP). Familiarity in government procurement and contracting practices or decision making practices. Ability to interpret and apply pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations governing construction and weatherization. The Organization Long Beach Community Action Partnership is a 501(c) (3) private nonprofit organization established in 1979 to fight poverty in the greater Long Beach area. The agency is part of a national network of over 1,000 Community Action Agencies that give support to low-income individuals and families with educational, social or economical barriers and help them achieve self-sufficiency. To help low-income households decrease their energy burden, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funds three program areas: utility bill payments, weatherization services to improve energy efficiency and critical heating and cooling services to vulnerable populations during severe weather emergencies.
