Tax Professional - Accountant Job Opening in Rio Grande, New jersey - Growing Tax and Accounting services firm seeks an experienced tax professional with the ability to advance as key employee in a small, client focused company while maintaining a desirable work life balance.
Must have at least 3 years experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Independent practitioners welcome to apply-negotiable per diem rates.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepares Business and individual Tax Returns
Monthly/Quarterly bookkeeping services for business clients
Experience with client tax write-ups
Provides accounting and financial reporting support
Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, ties trial balance to tax return
Assists with month end closing, bank reconciliations
Process Payroll and maintain compliance
Directs activities of assistant
Skills needed:
Required: Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or 5 + years related work
Public accounting experience
Proficient with Quickbooks, Excel & other MS Office products
Experience with Ultra tax and Accounting CS is a plus
Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, Payroll and Sales tax processing.
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Reliable, Dependable, Tech Savvy and willing to go the extra mile.
