Bayview Logistics, a privately held company, is an intermodal trucking company specializing in food and beverage.
We are currently searching for a bright and friendly Accountant to join our growing team. Successful candidates will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
Performs a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions in the organization.
Essential Duties
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation
Prepare and record monthly financial statement, asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Prepare and process payroll information. Complete and submit tax forms and returns, workers' compensation forms, and other government documents.
Assist with filing taxes
Track expenses and revenues vs. budget & reforecast and analyze fluctuations
Prepare annual financial information to be provided to the external auditors
Coordinate and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, and bank fee anomalies
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Avoid legal challenges and protect organization?s value by keeping information confidential.
Liaise with vendors along with their principal(s) accounting department(s)
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent degree from an accredited university
2 years and above progressively responsible experience in Accounting
Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online version used at Bayview)
Excellent PC Skills (MS: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Gmail)
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his/her work product. (Training will be provided for TMS system)
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
