APARTMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (Thurston County) Spinnaker Property Management, Inc., currently manages multi-family properties in Pierce, Kitsap and Thurston Counties. We are looking for self-motivated, hard-working individuals to join our team in Thurston County and support our commitment to creating communities where people are excited to live and proud to call home. Position Summary Maintain the interior/exterior physical condition of the property and respond to resident?s service requests in a timely manner which helps keep the community up to Company and regulated standards. Has continuous contact with co-workers, residents, outside vendors and subcontractors. Tools/Equipment: Tools are provided. Working knowledge and skill to operate various tools of the trade. Duties: Ability to perform a variety of maintenance activities in an apartment setting including repairs and replacement dealing directly with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, countertops and flooring and carpentry. Ability to maintain the correct and on-going operation of equipment and systems, which includes preventive maintenance programs. May be required to perform general custodial tasks which include, but are not limited to picking up debris, general cleaning, replacing light bulbs and any other related tasks requested by supervisor. Able to manage a crew of 3-5 maintenance technicians Ability to respond and appropriately handle after-hours emergency calls and situations The above list of Maintenance responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive, but to illustrate the typical responsibilities of someone in a Maintenance position. The position and its? responsibilities may change over time or as business necessitates. Education Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. required Experience: Multi-family community maintenance, general construction, remodel, commercial maintenance Other Skills: A self-motivated, team oriented individual who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills when working with residents and co-workers. Appearance must be neat and clean. Physical Requirements: Climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, reach at, below or above shoulder level. Frequent face-to-face interaction with clients, peers and staff requires the ability to speak clearly. May occasionally lift and/or push items up to 40 lbs. Additional Requirements: Reliable transportation. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
