Qualifications for Mission Continues Fellowship: -Veterans must have the desire to serve others -Must be a post-9/11 veteran with disability rating through the VA -Must have an honorable discharge annotated on DD 214 About the Mission Continues: The Mission Continues is looking for post-9/11 disabled veterans who wish to continue service to their nation by serving their communities. Our goal is to provide service opportunities to wounded veterans who still have the desire to serve their country but whose disabilities prevent them from continuing to serve in the military. An average Fellowship covers 28 weeks, during which the Fellow volunteers full-time at a local charitable organization. The Fellowship is funded through grants and donations, and each Mission Continues Fellow is awarded a $6000 grant to enable the Fellow to offset cost-of-living expenses while he or she volunteers. We have created a competitive Fellowship that allows us to select the best and the brightest wounded and disabled veterans to serve in their communities. Previous fellows who have participated in a Fellowship have used this opportunity to help in their educational or career goals. Additionally, the Fellowship program helps veterans adjust to civilian life.
