Software Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary. A Software Developer designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming systems. Also, coordinates with Agile work teams. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager. Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree required, AND a minimum of 3 years of equivalent work experience. 3 years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum/Kanban/XP.
Agile principles such as Continuous Integration (CI), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps.
Java / J2EE
Interoperability & Performance Analysis
JavaScript / HTML5
Technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience. Strong data analysis skills.
Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.

Experience with VA enterprise services or systems such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), VistAWeb, Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV), Enterprise Health Management Platform (eHMP), Enterprise Messaging Infrastructure (eMI), Data Access Service (DAS), MyHealtheVet, VAPii, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), VistA Services Assembler (VSA), Enrollment Services, and VistA Imaging.
Modern programming languages such as Java, C#, , JavaScript, Ruby and Python
Agile certification(s) such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilists (SA) or SAFe Practitioner. (SP), SAFe Advanced Scrum Masters (SASM), and SAFe Professional Consultants (SPC)
