V6 Glazing Software Implementation Engineer Job Opening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join Soft Tech! Due to our growth, Soft Tech needs more staff to support software implementation. Working as part of a small team in a global company, the person filling this role will use their building industry knowledge to build solutions into our software that meets specific customer needs.
About the Role
You will be focused on supporting our customers and providing technical expertise for them to overcome challenges to ensure seamless implementations by:
Building the product catalog specific to customers into our configurable software, V6. This is achieved through interpreting glazing and other relevant product information and translating it into the software. The product catalogs include windows, doors, storefront, curtain wall, shower units and more.
Building reports to meet customer needs using our report writing tools
Hands on project implementation installing the software and supporting the customers in its use
Direct communication with customers
Training customers on the use of our software, either in our office or onsite in customer offices
Working in collaboration with internal teams to ensure project tasks are completed and meet deadlines
What You'll Need to be Successful
You will receive training in our software, though it is essential that you have some or all of the required experience listed below.
Engineering background with an understanding of CAD software
Experience with product configuration software ? preferably V6
Glazing or building industry experience
A basic level of IT skills in using SQL (for reports) and Visual Basic
Good communication skills
Customer Service Orientation
Ability to travel
A solid understanding and attraction to technology, gadgets and the latest ways to make life and business work better
