Sr Software Engineer - .net & Typescript Job Opening in Raleigh, North carolina - LexisNexis is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to create, design, and code for LexisAdvance, the flagship legal research product for LexisNexis. Direct code are required, as is the ability to lead analysis and elaboration of the product owner's requirements, lead other engineers (onsite and offshore), and provide information for project plans.
LexisAdvance is a web application utilizing the platform.
As the Sr. Software Engineer, your key roles and responsibilities will include:
Develop software that meets the functional and time-to-market needs of the product owners.
Leads and participates in design, code and test reviews.
Diagnoses system performance problems using available standard performance tools
Recommends and performs changes in system parameters or code to obtain optimum system performance.
Conducts complete analysis and raises technical implications for changes in business process and/or requirements.
Interfaces with internal customers and vendor resources to gather requirements and provide recommendations on complex technical tasks.
Works independently to solve complex system problems using debugging tools or other diagnostic aids.
Maintains an understanding of current industry trends possibly through attendance at vendor seminars and/or training sessions.
Leads teams consisting of both employees and vendor resources in multiple locations and time zones.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years experience in various phases of systems development
Knowledge of the platform, MVC, C#, JavaScript, & HTML/CSS, and TypeScript
Familiarity with Backbone, JQuery, Angular2 and other client-side libraries is desired
Experience developing web applications with tight requirements for performance, security, and accessibility
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, other engineering, math or equivalent technical discipline or equivalent technical experience.
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to work in a cooperative team environment with internal & vendor resources
Excellent communication skills
Ability to provide both detail information and also summarize to a management level.
Ability to work through complex problems and reach a workable solution within the needs of the product owners and constraints of the business rules
Ability to work in ambiguous situations on problems / project of moderate to advanced complexity
